Working Waterfronts // Freshwater Fictions is a seminar that offers an intensive investigation of urban theory and method. Students participated in a week of classroom work, focused on the many techniques of reimagining working waterfronts. From manifestos to mappings, marketing strategies to pop-up installations, students will debate areas of contestation, and invent ways of finding and telling the stories of cities. This class is appropriate for students in any of the design disciplines who want to learn more about urban theory and contemporary techniques of mapping, studying, and imagining cities.
